Fokker S11 Instructor
The Fokker S-11, also known as the Instructor, is a single-engine, two-seat primary trainer aircraft developed by the Dutch manufacturer Fokker.
Designed in 1947, the S-11 was intended to provide a modern and reliable training platform for military pilots. It features a low-wing monoplane design with side-by-side seating, which facilitates communication and instruction between the student and instructor.
The Fokker S-11 saw widespread adoption and success, being used by several air forces around the world, including those of the Netherlands, Brazil, Israel, and Italy. Over 100 units were produced, and the aircraft played a significant role in training numerous pilots during the 1950s and beyond. Many of these aircraft were sold to civilian operators after their military service. The aircraft in the static park at the airshow is actually based at the Sanicole airfield.
