World-class aerobatics are a key element of the International Sanicole Airshow and this year, we present exceptional world class with a 3 times world champion coming over from France, flying an exceptionally agile aerobatics aircraft: Aude Lemordant with her MXS, for the first time at a Belgian airshow!
Aude Lemordant is a renowned French aerobatics pilot and commercial airline captain with Air France. She is celebrated for her exceptional skill and dedication to aviation. She pursued her aviation passion vigorously, earning her private pilot's license at 18 and subsequently studying aeronautical engineering. Her career in aerobatics commenced in 2005 when she joined the French Aerobatic Team. Lemordant quickly distinguished herself, demonstrating remarkable talent and precision in her performances, which you will certainly notice during her breathtaking performance over Sanicole.
Aude is also a passionate advocate for women in aviation, inspiring many young women. Throughout her remarkable career, she set new standards of excellence to inspire the next generation of aviators.
Aude will fly her new MXS aerobatics aircraft, the first time this type appears at the International Sanicole Airshow. The MXS is built in Australia and is a rare sight in Europe and indeed the world, with only a very low number built to date. Thanks to its 380 horspepower engine and light composite materials, it is capable of extraordinary performance and enables her to raise the level of her demonstration even further. The aircraft can withstand forces of up to plus or minus 15 times the force of gravity and has a roll rate of 420 degrees per second, so don’t let her out of your sight even for an instant when she performs over our airfield.
