The Dutch Defence Helicopter Command will showcase its state-of-the-art maritime helicopter in the static display at the International Sanicole Airshow on 12 & 13 September 2026: the NH90 NFH.

Visitors will have the unique opportunity to get up close to this impressive aircraft and meet the crew of the renowned 860 Squadron, based at De Kooy Naval Air Station. As the backbone of the Royal Netherlands Navy's maritime helicopter capability, the NH-90 combines cutting-edge avionics, powerful twin engines, and advanced mission systems to deliver exceptional performance in some of the world's most demanding operational environments.

Since entering Dutch service, the NH-90 has transformed maritime operations. Flying from naval vessels both at home and abroad, 860 Squadron plays a vital role in combating drug trafficking, piracy, human trafficking, arms smuggling, and terrorism. The helicopter is also a key asset in search and rescue missions, extending the reach and effectiveness of naval forces far beyond the horizon.

Equipped with sophisticated sensors and surveillance systems, the NH-90 excels in anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface warfare (ASuW), and maritime surveillance missions. Its ability to detect, track, and respond to threats makes it an indispensable tool in protecting Dutch and allied maritime interests.

Beyond its naval role, the versatile NH-90 also supports troop and equipment transport operations over land and from amphibious assault ships, delivering personnel and critical supplies wherever they are needed.

Don't miss the chance to discover one of Europe's most advanced military helicopters and learn more about the important work carried out by its dedicated crew in the Sanicole static display.
