Flying clubs like Sanicole believe aviation should be within reach of everyone and during the International Sanicole Airshow, history quite literally rolls onto the flight line.
In the static display, visitors can get up close to a beautifully preserved Stinson 108 Voyager from 1947, a true post-war sports aircraft icon. First taking to the skies in 1944, the Stinson 108 quickly earned a reputation for its smooth, forgiving flying qualities, thanks to an advanced wing design that was well ahead of its time.
Designed to carry one pilot and three passengers, the Voyager opened the door to personal aviation for thousands of pilots. Between 1946 and 1950, more than 5,000 aircraft were built, making it one of the great success stories of civilian aviation. Its versatility even caught military attention, with the Spanish Air Force operating the type as the Stinson L-2 for observation and liaison duties.
The aircraft on display has travelled from Lelystad Airport in the Netherlands to be part of Sanicole’s celebration of accessible, hands-on aviation history. Step closer, take in the details, and meet a machine that helped shape the golden age of private flying at Hechtel-Eksel on 12 & 13 September 2026.
