Alternative Duo - 2x RF-4D Fournier

Visit the International Sanicole Airshow on 21 & 22 September and experience a blast from the past. In the 1980s, the Sanicole Airshow welcomed the world-renowned Britse Skyhawks motor glider duo. Now, some 40 years later, we take a nostalgic look back with a modern touch thanks to France's Alternative Duo, making their Belgian debut.

The aim of this brand new team from France is to pay homage to the Skyhawks team and they therefore fly the same aircraft, the wooden Fournier RF-4D motor glider. They fly a graceful synchronised display with graceful aerial acrobatics set to music with these classics of aviation.

The team may be new, but in the cockpit we find two experienced men. In the blue aircraft leader Benoit David is at the controls, and in the red aircraft his wingman Anthony Bezard, whom we remember from his magnificent Breitling Bucker Jungman demonstration. Together they fly these beautiful aircraft over from Dijon-Darois airport.

However, they will add a modern touch to their show, as on Saturday evening they will delight you with a colourful fireworks display with flares they fire during their demonstration from their long slender wings.
