M346 Bielik
Preparing new pilots for their future operational careers is a highly specialized task, performed with potent and capable training aircraft. Join us at the International Sanicole Airshow on 21 & 22 September to discover how Polish pilots prepare for their fast jet careers using one of the most modern jet trainers in the world: the M346 Bielik (eagle).
This will be the debut of the new Polish M346 Bielik solo display team in Belgium. The M346, also known as the Master, is a twin-engine aircraft built by Italian manufacturer Leonardo. It combines high performance and state-of-the-art avionics in a complete training package. Aided with augmented reality, pilots can be trained using a large number of challenging scenarios, which includes simulating high threat environments or complex emergency situations. Thanks to its excellent flight characteristics, trainee-pilots are well prepared for their operational taskings with Polish air force squadrons, flying combat aircraft like the F-16C Fighting Falcon. As combat aircraft get more and more complex, training aircraft also have to simulate the systems operational aircraft use.
The M346 is part of the large-scale modernization programme of the Polish air force to face modern threats to national security. This included the replacement of their ageing TS-11 Iskra jet trainers with 16 brand new M346s at the airforce academy based at Deblin in central-Poland, conforming completely to the latest NATO-standards. Don’t miss this chance to discover one of the most modern aircraft in service in Europe. Pilots Major Adrian Chudzinski and Major Robert Jel look forward to present you their new routine with plenty of barrel rolls and inverted action.
