Harvard trio
Be sure not to miss the visual and aural experience of seeing three of the most famous World War II training aircraft in action at the International Sanicole Airshow on 21 & 22 September 2024 at Hechtel-Eksel: a demonstration featuring three T-6s.
The North American T-6 Texan perhaps laid the foundation of the Allied victory in the air during World War II. This aircraft has magnificent flying characteristics, is very stable and yet requires the necessary expertise to fly it properly. One of its most striking features is that propeller tips of the T-6 break the speed of sound, producing a very recognisable sound in flight. The US aircraft were built at the manufacturer North American, while the Canadian and British aircraft were produced by the manufacturer Noorduyn.
No fewer than three T-6s will cleave through the air during the International Sanicole Airshow. They will form a formation with Belgian pilots in historic American and Belgian liveries, with an SNJ variant in the lead, which was used by the US Navy. First, they will present some passages in elegant and precise formations before picking up the pace with a simulated air assault on the airfield.
We are sure you will also enjoy this wonderful piece of aerial theatre!
