USAF Viper demoteam
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the F-16 in style at the International Sanicole Airshow on 21 & 22 September. In 1975, the United States presented the F-16 in Belgium for the first time, ushering in a new era thanks to the stunning performance of this revolutionary fighter, owing to its fly-by-wire control system. The United States Air Force is all too happy to join the celebration of the anniversary of this famous fighter: the USAF Viper Demo team will fly at Sanicole on both days!
It has been since 1987 since the US Air Force presented this phenomenal aircraft to us, but in this 50th anniversary year of the F-16, you will be able to see the US Viper demo team in action again during the International Sanicole Airshow, the only European appearance in 2024!
Power, agility and speed are the key points of the impressive performance of the USAF Viper demo team, flown by Captain Taylor “FEMA” Hiester. His loud performance focuses on the tactical capabilities of the F-16 with a series of fluid manoeuvres illustrating its unrivalled flying characteristics at different speeds. Thus, he aptly demonstrates why this aircraft continues to be an important link in the US Air Force. Moreover, this US F-16 demo also features one of the best soundtracks in the airshow world.
The F-16 you’ll be able to see in full action on both showdays is a modern Block 50 and is permanently based at the air force base Spangdahlem in Germany.
This epic display will provide a lasting memory to all those who witness it.
